I love Craigslist

We are huge fans of Craigslist in our home. We have bought and sold numerous items. We love it because 1. our kids are young and into destroying everything we own 2. It creates less waste, we can buy something that is new to us without it being new new. and 3. it is usually pretty affordable and you can negotiate the price too. We have sold a highchair, an entertainment stand, a desk and a car! We have bought our kitchen table and chairs, our endtables, our a great lateral file and Charlie's dresser and nightstand.

I am especially excited about our latest purchase, a JUNGLE CLIMBER for the kids. Now that I am staying home with the kids and we have a large backyard I realize we may be in need of some fun outdoor toys. I have been searching craigslist off and on for an outdoor play/climber/slide combo. They seem to be pretty popular so they go quickly. I was thrilled when the owner of the jungle climber emailed back. Ryan rushed over and for $40 we got this fabulous climber. It has been previously loved and is a bit faded but the kids love it. Avenelle was playing Jungle Book on it most of the day. While Charlie, our climber, fought for his turn.

I am now focusing all my craigslist energy on a sandbox (I know it is the wrong season but who cares) and maybe a play house, but so far those are still going for about $100 and that is a little too rich for our blood.

In the meantime we will enjoy climbing and playing outside.

For those of you who haven't checked out craigslist--do it but a word to the wise...make sure you type in the s in craigs on craigslist as the alternative is very naughty.
